Brian is a junior currently studying Economics and Data Science in the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. He originally joined Northwestern Formula Racing as a member of the Electronics subteam his freshman year, then moving to serve as the Assistant Project Manager his sophomore year.
Taylor is a junior studying Mechanical Engineering in the Mccormick School of Engineering from Culver City, California. He joined the team freshman year, designing the steering system, then became the suspension team lead for NFR21. Outside of NFR, Taylor enjoys hiking, rock climbing, and coffee.
Assistant Project Manager
Ben is a sophomore studying industrial engineering at Northwestern's Mccormick School of Engineering from Rogersville, Missouri. He joined the team freshman year as part of powertrain, designing the tune for the car's engine. Outside of formula he enjoys photography, hiking, and working on his car.
Assistant Chief Engineer
Jacob is a junior studying mechanical engineering at Northwestern’s McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He is originally from Boston Massachusetts. After transferring into Northwestern, he joined the team his sophomore year as apart of the aerodynamics sub team working on the rear wing. Outside of formula, Jacob is an avid tennis player and skier, and he enjoys playing the guitar in his free time
EV Transition Lead
Chris is a junior studying Computer & Electrical Engineering. From Morristown, NJ, he’s leading the team developing this year’s first electric vehicle and focusing on improving team morale, creativity, and reliability. He enjoys cooking, climbing things, and walking around in the forest aimlessly for hours until he finds himself on top of a mountain or, less ideally, in Canada.
Sarah is a sophomore studying mechanical engineering. She’s originally from Mountain View, California, so she’s still getting used to Illinois weather. As a freshman, she became part of Northwestern Formula Racing, joining the Aerodynamics subteam. After designing the undertray, she stepped into the role of Aerodynamics lead. Sarah enjoys all things creative, from singing with her a cappella group to woodworking to knitting and writing short stories.
John is a senior studying mechanical engineering with a concentration in manufacturing and certificate in design, and hails from Chicago, Illinois. He joined NFR as a freshman where he worked on jigging and fixturing the car’s frame, moving the next year to work on ergonomic elements (seat, floors, firewall, safety systems)
Anchen is a junior from Chicago, Illinois studying mechanical engineering. He joined Northwestern Formula Racing in his freshman year as a member of the suspension subteam and has worked on rockers and uprights before becoming the subteam lead. On the team, you can find him working in the machine shop or helping people out with their CAD and CAM, and outside of the team, he enjoys video games, sketching, archery, and learning more about the world around him.
Francesco Sanchez is a sophomore from El Paso, Texas studying mechanical engineering in the McCormick School of Engineering. Outside of Formula, Francesco can be found working in a research lab, curating his playlists, or cooking up cockamamie plans for all kinds of personal projects.
Johnny is a Junior from Chicago, Illinois studying Electrical Engineering. He joined NFR as a sophomore where he worked on the Power Distribution Module of the car. This year a major project on the electronics subteam is overhauling the telemetry system. Outside of Formula, you can find him practicing his skateboarding and taking walks off-campus.
